Latest new on Halstead Research

It has been a while since the last blog and hopefully a lot more frequent in the future.

However the time hasn't been wasted and a lot of information has been collected from the growing number of online resources. The biggest challenge though is trying to match that information with those already in the database. A job that is never finished and no matter how carefully you are there will always be mistakes.

The latest collections information collected relates to those that served in WW1 and the job is now to match that with those in the database. My aim over the coming months is to feature those that we can identify - and not only those that paid the ultimate sacrifice. if you have details of a Halstead that you know served then I would be grateful if you could get in touch so that we can exchange information.

Many of you may have heard of the Imperial War Museum project on "Lives of World War One" - a project to commemorated that who served in WW1. we have created a community there for the Halstead surname and its variants. Information on anyone you know can be added will be gratefully received especially if you have stories or pictures as well.

The website has been updated on the 5th March 2015 - that date should appear on the bottom of every page of the research website. if it does not then please refresh the page.
